Ok so you always wanted to know how to cook some Italian cusine, well look no further, introducing some tasty Sicilian recipes as of today....
Out with your apron, ingredients and pots and pans...come on ladies surprise your guy with a Italian dinner ;) and you guys who can cook, dish up a yummy finger licking meal for your sweety :D
I'm starting with:-
APPETISERS
PANELLE OR FLAT CHANNA/CHICKPEAS LOAF
Ingredients:
*500g/1 lb/3 cups Channa flour
*Water
*Salt
Oil for frying
Bring a saucepan with salted water to boil. When it starts to bubble, sprinkle in the channa flour. Keep mixing with a wooden sppon until a rather thick paste forms. Pour onto a pastry board and, with the aid of a pallet knife or spatulla, spread it out to make a very thin layer. Then, using the rim of a glass, cut outlittle, round, flat loaves and fry in hot oil. Serve when cool. Yummy!
