Is the US justified in its decision to continue dropping bombs in Afghanistan during the Musilm Holy Month of Ramadan?
Or, should we let up?
What do you think will be the global reaction if we continue to bomb, or if we stop the bombing?

There is a lot of talk going around about this same topic. Personally what is there to bomb. The soviets had already destoyed the place. Frankly all is all you should respect another person beliefs.
I think we should let up. The reaction will be its about time and why did they stopped.:confused

Personally, I am not in favor at all of the US bombing Afganistan.
My view is, what makes the US all high and mighty? All of these years the US has been crying its time to put a stop to terrorism when in fact the US is the biggest terrorist themselves!
Did you know that Osama Bin Laden was once trained by the CIA along with more than half of the world's know terrorists? This is quite disturbing.
Take a look back at the United States' past actions. One of their main goals was to assasinate. They had no pity for anyone.
In addition, why doesn't the US step up to help arabs countries in times of need? At least I haven't heard of any responses.
Anthrax, a extremely deadly bacterium manufactured by the US for Biological warfare and what did they do with it? They sold it to Sadaam Hussein and God knows who else.
Personally, I am sorry for what happened on 9-11, but; the US should have seen it coming. The FBI and the CIA where both notified or should I say warned by Israeli intelligence agencies that there was a massive terrorist attack planned for 9-11. What did the US agencies do? They ignored them and henceforth welcome there own demise. The Iraeli's were smart that day they evacuated all of their people out of the WTC resulting in not a single Israeli death to our knowledge.
Anyway, I could rant on and on about The US's shortcomings and how the majority of the world despises them but I will save that for another thread.
It is absolutely arrogant of the US to bomb Afganistan during Ramadaan. How would the US if someone bombed them during St. Patricks Day or some other National holiday or religious celebration? They would not be happy right? Precisely, if the US knew what was good for them, they should realise that you cannot end terrorism by fighting back with more terrorism, it will only cause a global backlash that will send a wave of hate throughout the world.
The reactions will probably be mixed. If they continue to bomb, then I can only shudder at the possible reaction by the millions of terrorist cell organizations throughout the world. If they stop I do not think anyone will really care. Personally, I think that the world will be relieved. I mean think about it, how many countries are actually involved in "Operation Everlasting Freedom". You can count them on one hand; US, Britain,Canada and I just read that Italy pledged troops. The truth of the matter is that the entire world sucks up to "the United States of America - The symbol of freedom" If they are so high and mighty and so peace loving, why is that as soon as one country stands up and says "I've had enough of this shit" the US launches a massive offensive against them.
Unfortunately the leader of the US is none other than the biggest redneck this side of Fiji: George "Dubya" Bush. The most triggerhappy person there is. Sad sad events

Well...
Bahama, I gotta take issue with some parts of your post...
The US has a policy against assassination, and the bipartisan governemt has yet to lift the law against it. Years ago, Pres. Clinton ordered the assassination of Osama, but the US public reacted terribly, and was quite upset. That's why Qaddafi, Hussein and others are still in power, because they know we cannot go and shoot them.
Anthrax was NOT created in the US, it is in fact a freely growing tropical bacterium.
But I must agree the US trains all of the South and Central American dictators and rebels. The FARC, the Iran- Contra, and of course Osama's Mujahadeen were given guns, ammo and training. The school for South American dictators is in SC (I think) and they attend free of charge.
But really, I think if we bomb in Ramadan, we will be sorry, so sorry. Most of the world is only tentatively following us because we have threatened to cut off aid. But, if we disgrace an international holy month, ...boy, i think I need to head to BIM tonight, nuh.

I agree with most of what you have said karib and true to fact I did make some mistakes in my posts.
True the US has a policy against assasination now but what about during the cold war when agencies like the CIA attempted numerous times to assasinate leaders like Castro and so on. This policy earned the CIA the alias of "The Assasination Agency"
True I did make a mistake on the anthrax bit (a silly one at that) but what I meant to say was that they made the actual substance the powder. Think about it........ God knows what kind of viruses and bacterias have been developed by the most high US and sold to other countries. I mean come to think of it........ many of the illnesses we affected with today are more than likely some obscure lab rat's creation.
I feel ya on the last part. If they bomb me goin back to de bahamas where ait no one ga bother me. I ga sit back smoke some:ganja eat and be happy.
But personally karib I actually thank you for critcizing certain parts of my post. I tend to get a bit carried away once the juices start flowin and I start babblin' like an ol' fool.
