I think it might have links to the "Blackworm" virus and appears to go after the Mozilla/Firefox browser. Behavior manifests itself in:
1. Refusing to allow your desktop icons to load
2. Killing you with popups ending with the web address extention "yyy65" or even "yyy102."

NOTE: Follow the steps carefully even though I think the fix is actually done in the initial steps while the remaining instructions are more precautionary.
