Netball

I am going to join a team for netball here on STX, but it seems that not many people have heard of the game on da island. The older people of the caribbean were more interested in it and told me that it was a great spectator sport in many other places. It was surprising to me, because I never knew about it until I was asked to join. Who knows about this game?

Its the third biggest sport in Jamaica (for me) I played high school netball and went on to play for a my community and then a parish club (havent gotten a championship) :(

Our Jamaican team is most times on top of any competion entered, we also have some girls who went playing basketball from our netball team to the WNBA (dont remember their names)

in trindad the sport is not that big... but its by no means unheard of.

it's similar to basketball, of course rules are different and the hole where you have to score it's smaller. It's mainly a girl sport. Don't know much about it but it seems pretty popular here in TT
