Known around the world as the First Lady of Jazz, Ms. Schuur has been wooing audiences around the world since none other than Dizzy Gillespie brought her on stage at the 1979 Monterey Jazz Festival. <o></o><o></o>

It’s a new beginning as we move to our new Main Event venue. Temenos Golf club. Temenos Golf Club in Merrywing West End, <st1>Anguilla</st1> with breathtaking views of the <st1>Caribbean</st1>. The beautiful tropical scenery is emphasized from the 390 yard first hole featuring a spectacular view of St. Marten and the <st1>Caribbean Sea</st1> to the 18th hole which ascends 40 feet through rugged terrain to the green carved through native shrub. But that’s your day time gig, this evening the splendor is provided by <st1:country-region><st1>Jamaica</st1></st1:country-region>’s Monty Alexander, Onaje Alan Gumbs and Liv Warfield.. A lineup truly befitting the sumptuous setting... <o></o><o></o>

Day two at Temenos Golf club, hopefully by now you would have been completely acclimatized with your surroundings… as Cassandra Wilson will blow you away on her first visit to <st1>Anguilla</st1>. Fresh from the release of her latest Album, thunderbird; expect a mix of jazz, blues, soul and rock from this very talented vocalist.<o></o>
Bassist Reuben Rogers, recently released his debut album “ The things I am” and received praise all around. “Reuben’s impeccable musicianship and fresh approach to each performance keeps me perpetually inspired. His consummate playing allows him to rise comfortably in most any musical situation. ~ Dianne Reeves, Grammy award winning jazz vocalist Hidden Beach NAACP Image Award nominated saxophonist Mike Phillips has changed the game and fans are responding. Armed with his signature passion and magnetic presence, this talented musician challenges established jazz norms by embracing a variety of musical influences while adding his own unique flavor to the mix.

The traditional finale for tranquility Jazz Festival will now be located inside Johnnos Beach Stop. Mike Phillips will head the lineup, accompanied by the resident Sunday jazz band. There is no admission charge and lunch is served through the afternoon.. where else would you want to be on a Sunday afternoon…. Enjoying jazz on the beach….<o>:p</o>
